Forest Land Buffer Example
The Friends of the Nanticoke River Steering Committee met Wednesday, April 8th, and we want to make sure you are aware of important legislation that is now in discussion.
The legislation concerns requirements for land buffers between industrial/commercial/residential development and wetlands and waterways like the Nanticoke. Current laws are antiquated with requirements significantly lower than surrounding counties and states.
While the Steering Committee will be contacting the Zoning Commission and County Council representing "The Friends of the Nanticoke", any members in Sussex County are encouraged to read the overview and contact the Planning and Zoning Commission and Sussex County Council directly to voice your support.
We thank you in advance for your assistance on this legislation that is very significant for the Nanticoke River.
